Hi there, I am Leonardo Corsaro. My journey has taken me across various countries. Originally born in Italy, life brought me to Switzerland and Germany, before eventually bringing me back to Switzerland in St. Gallen. Here I currently study Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen.
Throughout my high school studies, I further developed a high interest in Sustainability and Marketing.
My interest in environmental sustainability began with a simple research project on global warming, which included an interview with the Italian meteorologist Luca Mercalli. My early interest expanded during high school, where in my Chemistry class I explored the impact of heat exposure on PET water bottles and microplastic concentration in water.
Simultaneously, I developed a keen interest in marketing, sparked by my hobbies in photography and videography. I further developed this interest through an internship at a marketing agency during my high school years. In my Extended Essay for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, I examined how German companies like Deutsche Bahn, Edeka, and Mercedes-Benz use social diversity in their advertisements to promote their products. Through that research, I was able to gain insights into how visual, verbal, and nonverbal communication strategies are applied in advertisements.
Throughout my journey I have developed a variety of soft skills that allow me to bring a unique and international perspective to problem-solving and collaboration. I believe that my abilities in English, German, and Italian uniquely position me to bridge communication gaps and foster an inclusive environment.
