After my internship at the private equity firm, I wanted to get a first idea of what it means to study Business Administration. In Summer 2022, I concluded the Bocconi Summer School with courses in Finance and Entrepreneurship. During those two weeks, I was able to get firsthand experience of life at university.
In the Finance courseĀ I gained a first idea of the world of finance. With the learnings from the course, I applied them in a real-world analysis, in which I had to determine whether PRADA should have gone public or not. The course concluded with a presentation at the Milan Stock Exchange (Borsa di Milano), where they told us about the developments of the Italian financial market.
The Entrepreneurship Course taught me the basics of conducting a market analysis, coming up with a promising product idea, and pitching it to the public. Especially, learnings about pitching ideas have turned out to be useful when writing convincing texts as well as public speaking events.
Overall, Bocconi Summer School has been a valuable experience, which has confirmed my interest in pursuing an academic career in Business Administration and an entrepreneurial career.
